STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT Observer Mode – What It Can Do

Observer Mode in STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT maps worldlines and missed events, but cannot load a scene directly and has no full zoom-out tree view.

8/21/2026 Last updated: 8/21/2026

Observer Mode is a new menu tab in STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT. It shows which events sit on which worldline and where those lines split. It does not replace saves.

What it is good for

  • Checking whether you missed a branch or extra scene
  • Seeing how Suzuha / Faris / Luka / Moeka / Mayuri / Kurisu / true ending sit on the tree
  • Planning a 100% cleanup without a third-party flowchart

Limits (confirmed by KKB’s Steam review)

WishWhat RE:BOOT actually does
Jump to the selected eventCannot load directly into a selected event
Zoom out to the full treeNo zoom-out / full-tree view
Replace chapter select like ROBOTICS;NOTES calendarNot that — Observer is a map, not a chapter skipper

Official marketing calls the remake an uncharted experience dedicated to all observers. That slogan is not a feature list.

Whether Sky Clad Observer (“Played through everything”) equals Observer 100% is not yet confirmed. For the secret scene, finish endings and fill Observer if you do not want to test the dispute.

PC note: Observer is in the menu alongside the phone. It does not fix missed inbound-mail icons.
